First customer to use Thermo King’s all-electric TRU in the Netherlands

Belgium / Netherlands – In March, Thermo King Europe of Zaventem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium announced the first installation of its new all-electric trailer refrigeration unit on a customer’s trailer in the Netherlands.
Refrigerated Trailer Rentals Holland BV of Barendrecht fitted the engineless ‘Advancer-e’ to a trailer which it has now leased to a customer. Dailycool BV of Warmenhuizen will use it to transport meat, fruit and vegetables. The Advancer-e employed by Dailycool is powered by a battery and power management system supplied by Thermo King, but it can also be recharged by other means, including shore power.
