UK Net Zero Hydrogen Fund announces awards worth up to GBP37.9m

UK – The UK Department for Energy Security & Net Zero has announced the recipients of awards from the first round of the ‘Net Zero Hydrogen Fund’, including various hydrogen production projects across the country which will supply hydrogen fuel to heavy-duty transport. 

The Net Zero Hydrogen Fund was launched in May 2022 to provide up to GBP240m to support new low-carbon and renewable hydrogen production projects in the UK. Money is provided either for development expenditure related to front end engineering design (FEED) or for capital expenditure on projects which will be up and running by 2025.
