The project aims to demonstrate multi-vehicle, ultra-fast charging at two large-scale pilot sites, capable of delivering megawatt-level power, significantly reducing charging times for heavy-duty trucks and supporting 24/7 fleet operations. The goal is to achieve a high level of technical readiness, enabling rapid commercial rollout across key European corridors.

This depot will feature 12 high-speed chargers, specifically designed to support 22 new electric buses operating within Exeter. Notably, the facility will also function as a Community Charging Hub, offering public access to charging points during periods when buses are not in service.
