USA – Proterra Inc, a manufacturer of buses and EV batteries based in Burlingame, California, has announced the launch of a new fleet and energy management platform, with Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC), operator of DART First State public transport services, as its first customer.
‘Valence’ is a cloud-based platform which offers a range of tools to fleet operators, including: real-time monitoring of fleet vehicles (bus or truck); data analytics for monitoring vehicle performance; diagnostics for identifying faults; and charge management. With smart charging management, Proterra claims it can save customers money by minimising vehicle recharging during peak hours.
