The eCV1 by Watt Electric Vehicle

UK – At the CV Show 2023, held between 18-20 April at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, Watt Electric Vehicle Company Ltd of St Columb Major announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Etrux, a van conversion specialist and subsidiary of Jans Group based in Antrim which has agreed to adapt Watt’s EV platform for the CV market in the UK and Ireland.

Watt first unveiled its light-duty truck platform, the ‘eCV1’, earlier this year. Its new partner, Etrux, is qualified in the construction of Luton bodies for cab-chassis platforms and in converting vans to applications such as utilities and temperature-controlled transportation. Moreover, Etrux is offering a turnkey service called ‘EVolve’, providing customers with consultation, procurement of chargers, vehicle maintenance, and end-of-life services.
