Alexander Dennis set to repurpose Larbert head office into an electric bus manufacturing facility

ADL Larbert head office

UK – Bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis Ltd, based in Larbert, Scotland, announced plans to expand its Larbert head office and repurpose the warehouse section into a manufacturing site for electric buses, in order to increase electric bus manufacturing capacity. The site’s expansion will involve converting existing warehouse space into production lines to assemble the body on the new Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV battery-electric chassis. From August 2023, the facility will focus on the production of the new Enviro400EV, following a successful pilot programme to build Enviro400FCEV hydrogen fuel cell buses in Larbert. This decision expands ADL’s manufacturing footprint from two (Scarborough and Falkirk) to three production sites in the UK.
