Nikola Tre BEV makes UK debut at 2023 Commercial Vehicle Show

2023 UK launch of the Nikola Tre 4X2 battery-electric heavy-duty vehicle at the CV show
UK – Iveco Ltd of Basildon, UK, (a subsidiary of Iveco SpA of Turin, Italy) used the 2023 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, this past April, to launch the pre-production Nikola Tre 4X2 battery-electric heavy-duty tractor unit on the Iveco stand. Already on trial with 50 customers across mainland Europe, the vehicle initially will be available in left-hand drive in the UK market, with right-hand drive models expected in the near future. The left-hand drive vehicles are to go on trials with several of Iveco’s key customers in the UK this year.
Already in production in the USA at the plant of Iveco’s zero-emission truck partner, Nikola Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, the European 4x2 version of the Nikola Tre battery-electric tractor is to be built by Nikola Iveco Europe BV, the Iveco-Nikola joint venture manufacturing plant in Ulm, Germany. This purpose-built facility came online in 2021 and features a final assembly process designed for electric vehicles.
