Luxfer introduces Type 4 hydrogen tank at ACT Expo

USA – At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California, held between 1-4 May 2023, Luxfer Gas Cylinders Ltd of Manchester, UK premiered its first Type 4 cylinders for storing hydrogen fuel. 

The ‘G-Stor Go H2 Hydrogen Cylinder’ is made from lightweight composite materials with a polymer liner (i.e., “Type 4” cylinder technology). Storing hydrogen at 350 bar pressure, Luxfer’s cylinder is designed to store fuel for hydrogen-powered buses, trucks, and vans. It will come in three sizes: 14.5, 15.3, and 19.1 kilograms, measuring between 90 to 108 inches in length and 26 to 27 inches in diameter (i.e., between 2306 and 2762 mm in length and 665.5 and 685.8 mm in diameter). The hydrogen cylinders are immediately available for order.
