USA – At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California, held between 1-4 May 2023, logistics company Ryder System Inc of Miami, Florida launched a new turnkey electric vehicle leasing service and presented an electric van which is part of a 4,000-unit order from BrightDrop Inc of Palo Alto, California.

The logistics firm’s new leasing service is called ‘RyderElectric+’: through it, customers will have access to consultation, vehicles, chargers, telematics, and maintenance for a single subscription fee. Ryder will provide “electrification advisors” who will assess the best-fit package for the customer, estimate the emissions reductions and total cost impact, evaluate the charging requirements, and provide grant and incentives guidance. In addition, Ryder will provide financing, warranty and safety options, as well as 24/7 fleet maintenance and access to chargers at select Ryder locations.
