Thermo King showcases new all-electric TRU for Class 5-7 trucks at ACT Expo

USA – At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California, held between 1-4 May 2023, Thermo King Corporation of Bloomington, Minnesota showcased a range of transport refrigeration products, including a new transport refrigeration unit for battery electric trucks in the Class 5-7 weight categories.
Part of a portfolio of new EV products which Thermo King calls “evolve”, the ‘e1000’ is a transport refrigeration unit (TRU) designed for rigid trucks carrying temperature-controlled goods. It is suitable for box sizes between 16 and 28 feet in length. Taking power from the vehicle battery, the e1000 is fully electric and will continue to operate even while the vehicle is recharging.
