Volvo launches electric truck sales in South Korea

Volvo Trucks’ battery-powered FH heavy truck

South Korea / Sweden - Volvo Trucks Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden has launched its range of battery-powered trucks on the South Korean market, as the company looks to consolidate its position as the country’s leading imported truck brand.

Volvo Trucks is the first overseas truck company to enter the South Korean electric vehicle market, initially with three heavy-duty truck models as it looks to fulfil rising demand resulting from the country’s carbon emissions reduction targets*. The company sold almost 2,200 heavy trucks and buses in South Korea last year (2022).
