SwedenScania AB, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Södertälje, Sweden, has announced that it will be launching a new digital service which is intended to simplify the identification and use of public-access charging points for electric trucks and buses.

‘Scania Charging Access’ will be accessible to customers through the ‘My Scania’ digital platform and the ‘Scania Driver App’. Using the application, customers should be able to locate charging points which are suitable for commercial vehicles and then, once they have finished charging, pay for it through a RFID (radio-frequency identification) card. Scania says that its application will offer set prices without hidden fees through a consolidated invoicing system.
