Tractor sales at home in India almost doubles in Q4/22-23

India - Tractor sales in India enjoyed growth of 90.4% during January to March 2023 or the fourth quarter of FY 2022-23 to register 22,738 units compared with 11,941 units in the same quarter of the previous year (FY 2021-22). Tractor production also increased, up by 88.6% from 11,960 units to 22,552 units, while export sales fell by 14.2%.

The light-weight tractor (26.4 tons < GVCW ≤ 40 tons) segment saw sales rise by 65.4% to 2,439 units in Q4 of FY 2022-23 from 1,475 units in Q4 of FY 2021-22. Export sales grew by 23.3% and production also increased by 37.3%.
