Nova Bus receives order for up to 541 battery electric buses for Toronto

Canada – Following on from its massive 1,229-strong order announced at the beginning of May, Nova Bus Inc, a Volvo subsidiary based in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, announced another order for its battery electric buses, this time for up to 541 units from the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). 

The contract stipulates a firm order for 124 ‘LFSe+’ 40-foot buses, with the option to add a further 12 units over the next two years. TTC will also be able to order up to 405 more buses longer-term. Moreover, the contract includes an adoption process for other transit agencies in Ontario to order a total of 550 buses over four years.
