DAF XF 450 wins Green Truck of the Year

New Generation DAF XF 450 awarded Green Truck 2023

Germany / Netherlands – The New Generation DAF XF 450 (from Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV) has won the 2023 Green Truck of Year from German trade magazine VerkehrsRundschau and Trucker. The criteria for the award was fuel performance and engine efficiency in relation to CO2 emissions, as the magazine performed a range of tests comparing tractor units from the major global brands.

The New Generation DAF XF features a 330 kW/450 hp PACCAR MX-11 engine which, according to the magazine, “outperformed the competition on the extensive German test route with an ultra-low diesel consumption of 21.26 l/100 km – the equivalent of 675 grams of CO2 per kilometre – and an AdBlue consumption of only 1.32 l/100 km. Average speed was an excellent 80.06 kilometres per hour.”
