Valeo presents new EV bus heater at UITP

Spain – At the UITP1 Global Public Transport Summit in Barcelona, Spain, held between 4-7 June, Valeo SA of Paris, France presented a new high voltage water coolant heater which is designed specifically for electric buses (and other commercial electric vehicles).
The ‘Thermo HV’ accommodates an input voltage between 600 and 875 volts and delivers a variable heat output of up to 12 kW. It produces no emissions and is very quiet. At 4.9 kg and dimensions of 250 x 182 x 194 (l x w x h in millimetres), Valeo boasts it is lightweight and compact, easily integrated into a vehicle’s HVAC system.
