BYD and Castrosua debut electric bus

BYD-Castrosua 12-metre eBus at UITP
Spain – BYD Europe BV, of Schiedam, Netherlands - the European subsidiary of Shenzhen, China-based BYD Auto Co Ltd - has partnered with Spanish bodybuilder Carrocera Castrosua S.A. of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, to collaborate in the production of 12-metre long electric buses for the Spanish market, a demo of which was revealed at the UITP Summit last month in Barcelona.
Produced in Spain, the BYD-Castrosua 12-metre eBuses have been built on the BYD electric chassis with Castrasua 'Nelec' electric bus bodywork. With space for 92 passengers, the bus has a battery capacity of 422 kWh for a range of more than 450 kilometres.
