Anadolu Isuzu testing autonomous electric Novociti Volt

Autonomous Electric Bus

Turkey – Using artificial intelligence (AI), Anadolu Isuzu (Anadolu Isuzu Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ*) of Istanbul has been testing an autonomous version of its electric Novociti Volt bus at the Gebze Technical University campus in Turkey. Collaborating with Turkish autonomous driving software developer, Leo Drive, Anadolu Isuzu has reported positive test results. Considered a level 3 autonomous vehicle, the NovoCiti Volt autonomous test vehicle has been equipped with LiDAR, cameras, sensors, special processors and controllers as well as connected driving systems, which are being tested through a wide range of scenarios, with and without passengers.

The project is run in collaboration with the Autoware Foundation**, a non-profit organisation that aims to provide autonomous driving technology for everyone and supports open source-based solutions for it.
