BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV single-decker

UK – June saw UK bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) based in Larbert, Scotland, receive an order for 299 BYD–Alexander Dennis battery-electric buses from transport operator, Go-Ahead London, set to be delivered by the end of the year. The order comprises 169 BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV double-deckers and 130 BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV single-deck buses.

Seating 62 passengers, the 10.8m long double-deckers (Enviro400EVs) are built on a BYD chassis and BYD driveline. The BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV uses BYD’s Iron-Phosphate battery technology (382kWh batteries) which enables the buses to run for 257 km (160 miles) on a single charge.
