Volkswagen starts pilot truck assembly in Argentina

VWCO truck assembly line in Cordoba, Argentina

Argentina - The first Volkswagen truck to be produced in Argentina has left the dedicated purpose-built assembly line at Volkswagen Argentina S.A. in the Industrial Center of Córdoba. This follows on from the new partnership agreement announced in December between VW Argentina and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO).

The first vehicle, a VW Delivery 11.180 truck, will be used as a test vehicle to validate the manufacturing process and to train the VW employees in the assembly process. Several more of these trucks will be assembled in the coming weeks to validate the production process and to provide for national vehicle demonstrations and trials to be undertaken across the country.
