Finland – Finnish electric charging provider, Kempower OYJ, based in Lahti, Finland, is set to open a new 10,000 square-metre production facility in Lahti next year, doubling the company’s production capacity in Europe. This new facility will produce chargers for buses, trucks and passenger vehicles whilst also housing offices for research and development as well as administration.

Earlier this year, the company announced it had completed negotiations to lease- a new EV charger manufacturing facility in Durham, North Carolina, USA. The company is relying on the continued growth of the e-mobility sector in North America and chose this location because of the availability of skilled labour, tech environment and state incentives.
