USA Detroit, a brand of Detroit Diesel Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA), based in Detroit, Michigan, has announced plans to double its manufacturing footprint by expanding its factory in Hibbing, Minnesota, by 2,784 square metres (30,000 square feet) in order to meet the demand for electronic components and the growing need for battery-electric vehicles in North America. The current products produced at the factory include engine controllers, transmission controllers, vehicle controllers, turbo actuators, EGR actuators, variable pressure output devices, intake throttle controllers, instrument clusters and audio amplifiers.
