Terberg and Street Drone to deploy autonomous terminal tractors at Port of Rotterdam

Netherlands / UK – The Special Vehicles subsidiary of the Royal Terberg Group BV of IJsselstein, Netherlands is partnering with Street Drone Ltd of Oxford, UK to deploy a combination of autonomous and teleoperated terminal tractors at the Port of Rotterdam.
Over the next two years, Terberg will develop and test six terminal tractors using two software products from Street Drone. The first, ‘AslanX’, provides self-driving functions such as truck reversing into a loading bay. The second, ‘XenOS’, allows a human driver to operate the vehicle remotely, taking them out of a potentially hazardous environment.
