Navistar launches new generation of school buses based on International MV chassis

Next-generation CE Series school bus by IC Bus with electric driveline

USANavistar International Corporation, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Lisle, Illinois, has launched a new-generation school bus under the ‘IC Bus’ brand which is available with diesel and battery electric powertrain options.

The ‘CE Series’ school bus range is now in its third generation, nearly twenty years after the launch of the second generation. The new CE Series buses will be based on the ‘International MV’ chassis for medium-duty trucks, with a Cummins B6.7 engine (providing power up to 325 hp and torque up to 750 lb-ft) and Meritor and/or Dana axles.
