ZF breaks ground on electric axle drive plant in Shenyang, China

Germany / China – In June, ZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany broke ground at the site of a new plant for electric axle drives in Shenyang, Liaoning, China. 

Under the banner of the “ZF New Energy Vehicle eDrive Project” – which has reportedly opened two e-mobility plants in China since 2021 – the new factory will cover an area of 8.3 hectares and employ 900 workers when complete. It represents an investment of RMB1bn or EUR130m. Products which ZF will make in Shenyang include motors, power electronics, and reducers for its electric axles.
