DAF delivers its first electric EcoCombi in the Netherlands

Netherlands – DAF Trucks NV of Eindhoven, Netherlands, has delivered its first fully electric 25.25-metre EcoCombi* (extra-long truck) in the Netherlands, to Vlot Logistics, signifying yet another milestone for the Dutch truck manufacturer. The vehicle will operate in the port of Rotterdam and in order to transport containers, the DAF CF Electric rigid combination is equipped with an electrically driven HIAB hook arm in combination with a 23-metre crane. The company has installed its own 300 kW DC charging station at the port that is capable of charging the DAF CF Electric’s battery pack up to 80% within one hour.
