Plastic Omnium finalises joint venture with Shenergy Group for hydrogen storage tanks

France / China – In June, Compagnie Plastic Omnium SA (“Plastic Omnium”) of Levallois, France finalised a deal to form a joint venture in China for the manufacture of hydrogen storage tanks with state-owned Shenergy Group Company Ltd of Shanghai.
On 11 January, Plastic Omnium announced it would set up a joint venture with Rein, a hydrogen subsidiary of Shenergy Group. The two firms hold an equal share in the new company, named ‘PO-Rein’. Its aim is to manufacture high-pressure hydrogen storage systems for the Chinese commercial vehicle market.
