Bollinger begins pilot production of Class 4 battery electric trucks

The B4 by Bollinger

USABollinger Motors Inc, a subsidiary of Mullen Automotive Inc based in Oak Park, Michigan, has launched production of “design validation” pilot builds of its upcoming Class 4 battery electric trucks.

The ‘B4’, which has a gross vehicle weight rating of 15,000 lbs, is a cab-chassis truck powered by an e-axle and up to three ONE1 battery packs. Together, these deliver 323 hp and 675-lbs-ft of torque, and a range of 185 miles. Initial pilot builds of the B4 will be trialled at Mcity, a demonstration and testing facility at the University of Michigan’s north campus, between 12-22 September.
