Colombia registers a of 17.1% decline in sales of commercial vehicles

Colombia - The Colombian market for commercial vehicles closed the first half of 2023 with a significant decrease of 17.1%, with vehicle sales of 15,083 units, compared with 18,184 units for the period January to June 2022, according to data released by the Bogotá-based Asociación Nacional de Movilidad Sostenible – ANDEMOS.

In the truck segment, registrations fell by 18.3% at 13,772 units sold in the first half of 2023, against 16,851 units in the same period last year. The category of trucks with GVW (gross vehicle weight) up to 10.5 tons registered a decrease of 17.8%, with 10,778 units sold, against 13,117. In the category above 10.5 tons GVW, registrations decreased 19.8%, with 2,994 vehicles, against 3,734 in the previous year.
