Transport operator, Keolis signs fixed priced long-term renewable energy deal

France – In a bid to meet its decarbonisation goals, French public transport operator Keolis Group* has signed a long-term-renewable electricity purchasing agreement with French photovoltaic-based energy supplier, Urbasolar Group, based in Montpellier. The deal is set to supply Keolis with an annual 18 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity starting from January 2025. Electricity generated at French solar farms will allow Keolis to supplement its energy supply at a fixed, long-term price, whilst reducing its CO2 emissions by an estimated 290 tonnes of per year.

In a statement regarding its 2030 decarbonisation efforts, Keolis said:
