Tata Motors opens second vehicle scrapping facility in Bhubaneswar

Tata Motors' new vehicle scrapping facility in Bhubaneswar

India – Truck and bus builder, Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai, has opened a second Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, named Recycle With Respect (Re.Wi.Re)1. The new facility operates and complies with the standards as stated by the government’s vehicle scrapping policy - Voluntary Vehicle Fleet Modernization Program (V-VMP), which took effect in April 2022.

Tata Motors states the facility uses environmentally friendly processes and has the capacity to disassemble up to 10,000 end-of-life vehicles safely and sustainably each year. The RVSF is developed and operated by Tata Motors’ partner, Empreo Premium to scrap end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands. This launch follows the opening of the first Tata RVSF facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan earlier this year. (Also covered in the T&BB India, May 2023 edition).
