Haskel delivers first hydrogen refuelling station in New South Wales, Australia

Coregas H2Station in Port Kembla, NSW, Australia

Australia / UK – In partnership with Sunderland, UK-based hydrogen refuelling equipment specialist, Haskel Hydrogen Systems Group, Australian industrial gases company, Coregas has launched the first commercial hydrogen-powered refuelling station in New South Wales, Australia. The Coregas H2Station in Port Kembla, will be used to fill heavy hydrogen-powered vehicles, including HGVs, buses, and refuse vehicles. Plans for this project first emerged in Haskel’s white paper published in 2022 where it outlined plans to provide Coregas with its turnkey GENO hydrogen refuelling station (HRS*), designed for highly demanding refuelling profiles that deliver back-to-back filling, with a capacity of 400kg of hydrogen per day. The goal is to have the same refuelling ease as traditional petroleum and diesel refuelling stations, easing the transition.
