Linde Canada to trial 5 Volvo FH trucks running on LNG

USA / Canada - Volvo Group North America Inc of Greensboro, North Carolina, USA has announced an “exclusive, one-time pilot” of five of its LNG trucks in Canada with multinational chemical company Linde plc

Linde Canada Inc will deploy five ‘Volvo FH’ trucks running on liquefied natural gas. The onboard engines are modified to run on LNG with Westport’s high-pressure direct injection (HPDI) system. Volvo claims that its trucks offer range and performance comparable to diesel but with a 20% reduction in tank-to-wheel CO2 emissions.
