Ashok Leyland and Aidrivers plan to bring autonomous electric terminal truck platform to market in 2024

India / UK - Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, a Hinduja Group subsidiary, together with its AI-enabled autonomous solutions partner, Aidrivers Ltd of London, UK, has announced that in 2024 it will bring to market a new autonomous electric terminal truck platform for port operations.

This truck is to be based on an Ashok Leyland platform and is to be equipped with Aidrivers’ autonomous eco-system will be produced at Ashok Leyland’s manufacturing facilities. Orders, Ashok Leyland announced can be placed now for delivery in 2024, and the inaugural fleet of vehicles is anticipated to be ready for real terminal operations early next year.
