Siemens to acquire EV charging firm Heliox

Germany / Netherlands – Technology conglomerate Siemens AG of Munich, Bavaria, Germany has announced plans to acquire Heliox BV, a manufacturer of EV charging infrastructure based in Best, Netherlands, subject to regulatory approval. 

A Siemens statement said the acquisition, which would see Heliox merged with its existing eMobility portfolio of charging products, would expand its coverage in DC fast chargers for trucks and buses. Siemens added that Heliox would also expand its market coverage in Europe and North America and improve its capabilities in power electronics.
