Alexander Dennis receives order for 19 electric double-deckers from Transdev

ADL Enivro400EV

UK – UK bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) based in Larbert, Scotland, announced that they have received an order from Transdev Blazefield for 19 ADL battery-electric double-decker buses (Enviro400EV) for the Harrogate Bus Company. The order is partly funded by the UK government's Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme*, following a successful bid by Transdev’s partner, North Yorkshire Council.

The fleet is to commence operation between Harrogate and Leeds in Spring 2024. The Enviro400EVs are fitted with roof-mounted charging rails that allow their 472kWh battery system to be topped up from pantographs installed at the Harrogate bus station.
