Eberspächer to start series production of latest roof-mounted air conditioning system in Q1 2025

The AC138 EVO air conditioning system
Belgium / Germany – The Eberspächer Group, a manufacturer of exhaust and thermal management products based in Esslingen am Neckar, Baden-Württemberg, has announced that it has signed a lucrative contract with an unnamed electric bus OEM, with the roof-mounted AC138 EVO* air conditioning system, which will make its debut at Busworld Europe next month. Eberspächer plans on manufacturing this product in Q1 2025.
The system will be available in two different sizes designed for different applications. Intended for city buses, the compact version is a height of 415mm with a length of 2.8 metres whereas the coaches version is 250 mm in height. Both versions will weigh 325 kgs and feature 35kW cooling and 24kW heat output.
