Busworld Europe 2023: 50 days to go

After a wait of four years (the 2021 edition was postponed due to Covid restrictions), the 26th edition of Busworld Europe will finally open its doors once again at the Brussels Expo show ground from the 7th to the 12th of October 2023.
As we lead up to the show, the editorial team at Truck & Bus Builder – your daily news resource for what’s happening globally by region and country in the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry - will provide you with details of some of the companies attending and what their USP might be at the show.
Irizar – Spain’s largest international bus, coach and electric truck builder, which will be exhibiting at Busworld in hall 6, stand 602, is to reveal its very first hydrogen powered coach, the new i6S Efficient Hydrogen. Set to have a minimum range of 500km on a single tank, Irizar says the hydrogen coach forms a key part of its “future business strategy and technology roadmap, which includes the Irizar Efficient range of multi-technology vehicles.”

Eberspaecher - From freezing cold to tropically hot, thermal management systems from Eberspaecher ensure a comfortable interior in all outdoor conditions in the automotive world, including buses and trucks. The company will be presenting two new air conditioning systems for hybrid and battery-electric buses at Busworld Europe, the AC135 AE, a roof-mounted system with a built-in compressor for medium-sized to large passenger compartments and the AC138 EVO, which heats and cools medium-sized to large buses in an energy-saving manner using Eberspaecher’s own patented heat pump technology. These products together with its expanding range of digital and cloud-based services, can be seen in hall 6, stand 629.
Solaris – Poland’s largest city bus builder, supported by its Spanish parent company, CAF, at this year’s show will display two versions of its Urbino 18 articulated zero emission city bus. The Urbino 18 electric, a vehicle based on a new architecture of electric driveline, equipped with a new generation of batteries to ensure an increased range. The Urbino 18 hydrogen is its latest hydrogen fuel-cell powered bus having been unveiled in 2022. These vehicles and more can be seen in hall 5, stand 502.
Ctrine Engineering – A design consulting engineering firm from Pune, India, is exhibiting for the first time at Busworld Europe in hall 11, stand 1182B. Ctrine offers full product design, finite element analysis and vehicle integration engineering across all segments of the transport industry.
Cojali S. L. – One of Spain’s leading technology companies, based in Ciudad Real (Madrid), specialises in automotive electronics and software. It will be exhibiting at Busworld in hall 6, stand 614A, where the main and very latest functionalities of its Jaltest Telematics will be introduced highlighting its predictive maintenance and the advanced remote diagnostics to improve vehicle uptime. It will be also there to demonstrate its software and hardware for in-vehicle and vehicle-to-vehicle communications and control.
