Peterbilt produces 100,000th Model 389 truck

Celebration of the Model 389 production milestone in Denton, Texas

USAPeterbilt Motors Company, a subsidiary of Paccar Inc based in Denton, Texas, announced a production milestone on 7 September, having produced its 100,000th ‘Model 389’ Class 8 truck for on-highway distribution. 

The Model 389 was launched in 2006 as a replacement of the ‘Model 379’. It measures 131 inches from the bumper to the back of the cab, the longest ever produced by the company. It is offered in Australia as a right-hand drive conversion.
