MAN produces its 1,000th battery electric bus at Polish plant

1,000th Lion's City E bus at MAN plant in Starachowice, Poland

Germany / PolandMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, announced the production of its 1,000th battery electric bus on 18 September at its bus plant in Starachowice, Poland. 

The 1,000th bus to roll off the production line was a 12-metre ‘Lion’s City E’ for urban passenger transportation. Series production of the Lion’s City E range began at Starachowice in October 2020. Since then, MAN has launched two more configurations: a 10-metre bus and an 18-metre articulated bus.
