At the plant inauguration, MAN announced that it would invest a further EUR150m to kickstart production of battery modules, i.e., assembled battery cells which are installed in the packs.

The Schiphol Group has ordered 52 of MAN’s ‘Lion’s City 12 E’ buses, capable of carrying up to 107 passengers.

The ‘eTGX’ was handed over to automotive supplier Dräxlmaier of Vilsbiburg, who will use it to transport batteries to the Porsche factory in Leipzig, Saxony.
