Iveco Bus inaugurates new testing facility in France

Inauguration ceremony at Iveco Bus's new E-Bench facility in Vénissieux

France – Last month, Iveco Bus (a brand of the Iveco Group NV) based in Turin inaugurated a new EUR 6.2 million testing and validation facility (E-Bench) located at the company’s R&D centre in Vénissieux, France. The facility, which has been operational since July 2023, allows testing of both individual components and complete vehicles in real driving conditions, simulating all types of road and climate conditions (between -15 °C and +55°C in all seasons). This investment should increase the speed at which the company is able to bring new products to market.

According to Iveco, the testing equipment includes a roller dynamometer, climate bench, bench for individual components, complete HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) bench for testing all components together and compatibility with electric and hydrogen propulsion vehicles.
