Kia to develop eco-friendly logistics with Lotte

South Korea - Kia Corporation, based in Seoul, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, has agreed to collaborate with Lotte Global Logistics company, the shipping unit of local conglomerate Lotte Corporation, to establish an environmentally friendly logistics ecosystem in the country.
To support Lotte’s transition to electrification, the two companies have agreed to collaborate in the development of purpose-built vehicles (PBVs) optimised for delivery of goods. They will also collaborate in the development of various aspects of the eco-friendly logistics business, including recharging networks, battery swapping technologies and charging solutions using battery energy storage systems (ESS).
