USA / Brazil – Electric powertrain company, WEG S.A.*, headquartered in the city of Jaraguá do Sul, in the state of Santa Catarina, has reach agreement to acquire the Industrial Motors and Generators businesses of Beloit, Wisconsin, United States-based Regal Rexnord Corporation (NYSE: RRX), a global manufacturer of electro-mechanical equipment for USD400m. The transaction is being completed through certain subsidiaries of WEG S.A. This transaction** focuses on the majority of Regal’s Industrial Systems segment comprising the industrial electric motors and generators business of the Marathon, Cemp and Rotor brands.

The transaction will see WEG integrate a team of approximately 2,800 employees from RRX, who operate in ten factories located in seven countries (United States, Mexico, China, India, Italy, Netherlands, and Canada) and commercial branches in 11 countries. The net operating revenue of these businesses in 2022 was approximately BRA 2.8 billion (USD541.5m), with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 9.5%.
