Mellor announces Strata orders for Manchester and Hull

UK – Mellor Bus of Rochdale, UK has announced multiple orders for its ‘Strata’ line of specialty buses, including 21 which will join Transport for Greater Manchester’s prospective integrated transportation network (the ‘Bee Network’).
Of the 21 buses contracted to join the Bee Network, 17 are 26-passenger ‘Strata Plus’ models which will join the fleet of First Bus. The other 4 vehicles are from the 30-passenger ‘Strata Ultra’ line, which will join Stagecoach’s fleet. The low-floor buses, which are based on the Mercedes-Benz ‘Sprinter’ van and provide two wheelchair spaces, will enter operation in mid-March 2024.
