Mercedes-Benz do Brasil’s electric bus chassis makes its debut in Europe at Busworld

Mercedes-Benz do Brasil's eO500U chassis at Busworld Europe

Belgium / Brazil - The Mercedes-Benz eO500U, the first battery-electric bus chassis developed and produced by Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, made its debut in Europe on the Daimler Buses stand at Busworld Europe 2023.

The eO500U chassis has been developed entirely by Mercedes-Benz do Brasil in Campinas, Brazil, where Daimler Truck's World Competence Center is located for the development of bus chassis. Daimler said the World Competence Center represents a global reference for other units worldwide. Brazil continues to be the company's largest bus market.
