Siemens wins two contracts in Germany to provide electric bus charging infrastructure

Siemens SICHARGE UC charging range

Germany – The e-mobility division of Siemens AG of Munich, Bavaria has received two orders to supply electric bus charging infrastructure in Hamburg and Saarlouis in Germany.

In Hamburg, Siemens will supply a total of twenty 150 kW SICHARGE UC charging points to support Hamburger Hochbahn AG in transitioning to a zero-emissions fleet. Furthermore, in the contract, Siemens will provide low and medium-voltage technology (SIVACON S8 low-voltage switchgear) to connect the chargers to the grid. The contract is scheduled to start in Q1 2024 and the company will be responsible for maintaining and servicing the equipment for five years.
