ONE launches pilot production of LFP cells for commercial vehicles

USA – Our Next Energy Inc (ONE) of Novi, Michigan has launched pilot production of its proprietary lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells for Class 3-6 commercial vehicle batteries at a new gigafactory in Van Buren Township, Michigan.

The company launched the pilot line for LFP cells in order to validate them for mass production, as well as to support training of its workforce. Some of these cells will be sent to customers for testing. By the end of 2027, ONE hopes to produce enough cells to build 200,000 of its ‘Aries’ battery packs per annum.
