Daimler Truck North America begins series production of BEV Freightliner eM2 medium-duty truck range

The Freightliner eM2

USA Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG of Stuttgart, Germany, has announced the start series production of its medium-duty battery-electric truck, the Freightliner eM2, at its factory in Portland, Oregon.

Designed for delivery applications, the truck is built on the Freightliner M2 106 Plus platform and comes with two battery and driveline options; a class 6 single-motor model that delivers up to 190 continuous horsepower from a 194-kWh battery pack, providing a range of 290 kilometres (180 miles) on a single charge and, a class 7 dual-motor variant that offers up to 255 continuous horsepower from a 291-kWh battery assembly, with a range of 400 kilometres (248 miles) on a single charge.
