Alexander Dennis delivers 35 Enviro400EV buses to Go South Coast in the UK

Enviro400 delivery

UK – UK bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) based in Larbert, Scotland, has delivered 35 of its next-generation BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV electric double-deck buses, to Go South Coast’s (Go-Ahead Group subsidiary) Morebus. 28 of these buses will be used in Bournemouth and Poole, offering extra seats to passengers on the busiest routes. Another seven will be operated on the Isle of Wight by Southern Vectis.

Seating 75 passengers, these double-deckers are built on a BYD chassis and BYD driveline. The BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV uses BYD’s Iron-Phosphate battery technology (382kWh batteries) which enables the buses to run for 257 km (160 miles) on a single charge.
